Budhenath Temple, at the heart of the city
Among the oldest temples in Mirzapur, the Budhenath Temple sits right in the middle of the city. Local belief holds that Baba Vishwanath himself comes to rest here at night, and that devotees who offer prayers at this temple are blessed with wealth, prosperity and grandeur. It remains one of the biggest centres of faith for Shiva devotees in the district.
Panchmukhi Mahadev Temple in Barighat
The Panchmukhi Mahadev Temple, located in Mirzapur's Barighat area, was originally built by the king of Nepal. Devotees believe that worshipping here brings the same spiritual reward as visiting Pashupatinath, which is why the temple also draws large crowds of Shiva devotees during Sawan.
Rameshwaram Mahadev Temple in Vindhyachal

The Tardeshwar Nath Mahadev Temple, in the city's Rambagh locality, owes its fame to an old legend. It is believed that the demon Tadak worshipped Lord Shiva here, and pleased by his devotion, Shiva granted him the boon of immortality. The temple has since come to be known as Tadkeshwar as well, and continues to draw devotees to this day.
Kantiteshwar Mahadev Temple in Vindhyachal
Also located in Vindhyachal, the Kantiteshwar Mahadev Temple was established by the king of Kantit. It ranks among the region's oldest and most remarkable temples, and devotees believe that sincere prayers offered here ensure that every wish is fulfilled, with Lord Shiva's blessings showering upon them.
