The revered religious destination of Khatu Shyam in the Sikar district of Rajasthan has officially commenced its two-day monthly fair dedicated to Baba Shyam. Starting from early Thursday morning on the very first day of the event, long queues of devotees began forming for the sacred darshan. Large numbers of Shyam devotees are arriving at Khatu Dham from various corners of the country. According to religious traditions and beliefs, simply visiting the court of Baba Shyam relieves devotees of their worries and fulfills their heartfelt wishes. On the auspicious occasion of Papankusha Ekadashi, Baba Shyam was adorned with an enchanting decoration made of multicolored flowers. Overwhelmed by the divine appearance of the deity, worshippers turned emotional and prayed for the prosperity and well-being of their families.
Decorated Darshan and Chants Echoing Through Dham
The sanctuary of Baba Shyam was elaborately decorated for the occasion of Papankusha Ekadashi. The special arrangement featuring multi-colored blooms added immense beauty to the temple premises. The influx of worshippers continued uninterrupted from Thursday morning onward, with people patiently waiting in lines for their turn. Schedule Aligned with Ekadashi and Dwadashi
This monthly fair is traditionally organized during the Shukla Paksha of every month on the days of Ekadashi and Dwadashi. To ensure that the arriving devotees experience smooth and hassle-free darshan, necessary arrangements have been put in place by the Shri Shyam Temple Committee, along with local administrative and police authorities. Proper management protocols have been established across the temple premises and major access routes to regulate movement so that visitors do not face any difficulties.
Nighttime Bhajans and Celebration of Faith
With massive crowds expected throughout the event, maintaining smooth operations remains a key focus. Visitors arriving from distant places continue to seek blessings after catching a glimpse of Baba Shyam. As part of the monthly festivities, several venues will host devotional musical evenings during the night. In these gatherings, singers will chant hymns praising the glory of Baba Shyam.
