Priest Prem Kumar Mishra explained that if a devotee visits the temple to offer prayers for five consecutive Mondays or Fridays, their wishes are believed to be fulfilled. Notably, the temple does not host any spiritual courts or engage in any form of exorcism or occult rituals. Visitors find solace and solutions to their problems purely through the act of darshan, viewing the sacred deity. Priest Prem Kumar Mishra noted that devotees travel from neighboring districts such as Balrampur, Bahraich, Shravasti, and Gorakhpur, and even make the journey from Nepal to pay their respects. Praveen Shastri, a local resident of the village, expressed immense pride in having such a historic temple in their midst, adding that Sammay Mata is revered as the patron deity, or kuldevi, of their village. He also highlighted a traditional custom where newly married grooms visit the temple to seek the blessings of the goddess before starting their marital journey, a ritual that has been preserved carefully through generations.

During the auspicious periods of Chaitra Navratri and Shardiya Navratri, the temple premises transform into a lively hub of spiritual energy. The entire complex is filled with the chanting of prayers and devotional songs as massive crowds gather. During Chaitra Navratri, the temple hosts a grand recital of the Bhagwat Katha, which culminates in a massive community feast, or bhandara. This charitable feast feeds thousands of pilgrims who visit to partake in the holy offering and celebrate their shared faith.
