Meanwhile, Swati Chaudhary scripted a memorable achievement by claiming two medals across different categories on the exact same day.
Men's Teams Clinch Gold in Compound and Recurve Events
In the men's compound team final, reigning world champion Toman Kumar partnered with Shyam Sundar Swami to take on Iraq's Abbas Kadim and Anwar Aldawod. Although the Indian pair experienced a slow start in the opening ends, they quickly found their rhythm and delivered consistent high scores. Toman and Shyam Sundar maintained complete control over the contest to secure a convincing 152-139 victory and seal the gold medal.
The men's recurve team event saw two-time Paralympic medallist Harvinder Singh and teammate Vijay Sundi face Slovakia's David Ivan and Denis Ivan in the gold medal encounter. After surrendering the first set 34-37, the Indian duo launched a remarkable fightback. Harvinder and Sundi swept the remaining three sets 36-31, 38-34, and 35-31 to lock up a 6-2 victory, bringing home India's second gold medal of the day.
Swati Chaudhary's Double Medal Triumph and Women's Recurve Silver
Swati Chaudhary enjoyed a stellar outing on day four of the competition. She initially paired up with Adil Mohamed Nazir Ansari in the mixed team W-1 (recurve/compound) event, where the duo clinched a silver medal. Returning to the arena in the afternoon session for the women's individual W-1 bronze medal playoff, Swati faced Elena Krutova, who competed as an Individual Neutral Athlete (AIN) from Russia. Swati displayed great composure to win the match 6-2 and claim the bronze medal.
In the women's recurve team event, India's Bhavna and Pooja earned a silver medal after reaching the final. However, they were unable to overcome a formidable pairing from China, succumbing to a 0-6 defeat with set scores of 23-34, 33-35, and 30-31 in the title decider.
Mixed Team and Women's Compound Final Scores
The mixed team W-1 final featured Swati Chaudhary and Adil Mohamed Nazir Ansari against the Czech Republic combination of Sarka Pultar Musilova and David Drahoninsky. The Indian pair fought hard but eventually lost 1-5, recording set scores of 31-38, 33-37, and 33-33 to finalize their silver medal finish.
India missed out on a podium spot in the women's compound team event. Sheetal Devi and Payal Nag featured in the third place playoff against China's Wang Huiting and Gao Fangxia. The Chinese archers controlled the match from the beginning, wrapping up a 6-0 win with set scores of 34-23, 35-33, and 31-30 to secure the bronze medal.
