Manu Departs Bhopal Training Camp for Home
Upon receiving news of her grandmother's demise, Manu Bhaker immediately cut short her stay in Madhya Pradesh. She was stationed in Bhopal participating in an intensive training camp focused on preparations for the upcoming Asian Games. As soon as the news arrived from Rohtak, the star shooter left the facility without delay to travel back to her ancestral village for the final rites.
A Double Blow for the Olympic Star
Manu shared an exceptionally close bond with Daya Kaur, who was a constant source of encouragement and support throughout her athletic career. This tragedy comes as a double blow for the shooter, who was already grieving the recent loss of her coach Jaspal Rana. Before she could fully process that setback, the passing of her beloved grandmother has brought immense hardship to the family. Sports enthusiasts and fellow athletes across the nation have expressed their deepest condolences to the Paris 2024 Olympic medalist during this difficult period.
