Amid growing concerns over food adulteration, an innovative and practical initiative has taken shape in Koderma, Jharkhand. Pintu Kumar, a local entrepreneur, has launched a mobile mini flour mill mounted on a motorcycle to provide residents with pure, freshly ground sattu directly at their doorsteps. The setup travels through various neighborhoods, grinding roasted grams right in front of customers upon demand.
Ensuring Purity and Convenient Doorstep Delivery
This novel approach solves a major quality challenge for consumers seeking genuine roasted gram flour. Pintu Kumar travels through different streets and localities every day with his bike-mounted grinder. When a customer places an order, he grinds the roasted chickpeas on the spot. Presenting the entire process directly to the buyer completely removes doubts regarding adulteration and builds strong customer trust.
Rs 30,000 Setup Cost and Processing Capacity
Setting up this mobile sattu mill required an investment of approximately Rs 30,000. Despite its compact size, the mini grinding machine delivers high efficiency. It can process 15 to 20 kilograms of sattu per hour. Pintu Kumar supplies this freshly ground flour to customers at a rate of Rs 130 per kilogram.
Solving Traditional Mill Bottlenecks
Previously, residents had to travel to fixed flour mills, where they often faced long queues and extended waiting times. Power outages frequently halted processing, causing further inconvenience to visitors. By bringing the grinder straight to residential areas, this mobile unit eliminates travel time, line delays, and power outage issues, offering consumers an effortless and reliable solution.
