Apple has introduced strict purchase limits for iPhones in the Indian market, impacting buyers across the country. Under the newly implemented policy, customers will no longer be able to purchase three iPhones in a single transaction. The regulations cap the maximum purchase limit at two units across the entire iPhone range. If a buyer attempts to place an online order for three iPhones, the system will automatically reject the transaction.
Available Options Under New Rules
Within the new limits, customers retain some flexibility regarding their choices. Buyers can opt to purchase two units of the exact same model simultaneously, or they can select two different iPhone models according to their preference. However, ordering three or more devices in a single attempt is no longer permitted under any circumstance.
Reasons Behind the Restriction
The tech giant implemented this purchase restriction just ahead of the official retail sale of the iPhone Duo. As Apple's first foldable smartphone, anticipation around the device has been high. Industry observers note that the company likely took this preventive measure to curb black-market reselling, scalping, and sudden stock shortages driven by heavy festive season demand for the new foldable lineup.
