World number 341 Hannah Klugman is looking ahead to the biggest match of her career as she prepares for a thrilling showdown. The tournament is being hosted at the Wrexham Tennis and Padel Centre from 18 to 25 October, drawing significant attention from tennis enthusiasts. British teenager Hannah Klugman is set to face France's Elsa Jacquemot in Sunday's singles final at the prestigious Lexus Wrexham Open.
Dominant Semifinal Victory
Klugman, who is just 17 years old, secured her place in the championship match by defeating compatriot Jodie Burrage 6-1 6-4 in the semifinals. This impressive victory propels her into what will undoubtedly be the biggest match of her career so far. She will now go up against Jacquemot, who earned her spot in the final after overcoming a challenging battle against the Netherlands' Suzan Lamens, winning 6-2 7-6.
Doubles Campaign Ends in Semifinals
Despite her incredible singles success, Klugman's aspirations of featuring in both the singles and doubles finals were cut short. Playing alongside her partner Daniella Britton, she lost her doubles semifinal clash against fellow Brits Freya Christie and Eden Silva with a scoreline of 7-6 6-4. Following this result, Christie and Silva will advance to face the fourth seeds Hiroko Kuwata and Ankita Raina in the doubles final.
How to Watch Live Coverage
Fans eager to follow the conclusion of the tournament can catch all the action live. Sunday, 25 October features both the singles final and the doubles final. Live coverage is available for viewers to watch online via the BBC Sport website and app, as well as on BBC iPlayer, ensuring supporters do not miss a single moment of the tournament's climax.
