Film sets often witness intense professional rivalries that turn into humorous backstage anecdotes over time. One such unusual event occurred during the filming of the Bhojpuri blockbuster Ganga Jamuna Saraswati, which actress Aamrapali Dubey revisited during an episode of Bigg Boss 20. The production came to an unexpected standstill for nearly 6 hours simply because two leading stars refused to compromise on how an action sequence should be choreographed.
An Action Sequence Delayed by an Argument Over the Opening Blow
Before narrating the backstage incident, Aamrapali Dubey told the gathering, “मैं आपको एक कहानी सुनाती हूं. आप सब हंसते-हंसते पागल हो जाएंगे.” She recalled that Ravi Kishan and Manoj Tiwari were portraying rival characters in the project and were scheduled to film a fight sequence together. However, work ground to a complete halt over a seemingly simple question: which character gets to land the opening punch on the other? Neither actor was willing to concede the first strike, leaving the production crew waiting as the disagreement dragged on.
Dialogue Logic and Character Turf Created the Deadlock
Both performers defended their respective stances by citing the scene logic and script details. Detailing their debate, Aamrapali Dubey said, “मनोज भैया ने उस सीन का जिक्र करते हुए कहा कि पुलिस उन्हें लेने आई है. तो पुलिस पहले मारेगी और रवि भैया ने कहा कि जब पिछले डायलॉग में ही यह तय हो गया है कि यह मेरा एरिया है, तो कोई मुझे कैसे मारेगा?” With both stars convinced that their character background entitled them to strike first, the crew could not find common ground, and the shoot remained frozen for nearly six hours.
Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirahua Broke the Impasse With a Compromise
As hours passed without any filming progress, the third male lead of the project, Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirahua, stepped in to propose a practical way forward. Recalling his intervention, Dubey stated, “फिर दिनेश जी बीच में आए और उन्होंने सुझाव देते हुए कहा कि दोनों मनोज और रवि, तुम दोनों एक-दूसरे को मारने के लिए मुक्का उठाओ और तब तक मैं तुम्हें बचाने के लिए बीच में आऊंगा.” The agreement was finalized that Dinesh Lal Yadav would absorb the initial blow instead, which finally allowed the director to roll the cameras and film the action scene.

Directed by Harry W Fernandes, the film was released in 2011 and went on to become an enormous box-office hit in Bhojpuri cinema. In addition to the trio of Ravi Kishan, Manoj Tiwari, and Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirahua in key roles, the film featured prominent performances by Rani Chatterjee, Pakhi Hegde, and Rinku Ghosh.
