With the onset of the holy month of Sawan, a massive rush of devotees has been witnessed at the renowned Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Pilgrims from across the country are arriving in large numbers to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva. Joining the influx of worshippers, prominent television actress Neha Marda visited Ujjain to pay her respects and participate in the sacred early morning Bhasma Aarti.
Participation in Bhasma Aarti and Panchamrit Abhishek
Immense enthusiasm was evident among worshippers on the second day of Sawan at the temple complex. Devotees began gathering and standing in long queues from late Thursday night to await their turn for darshan. At 4 AM, the traditional Panchamrit Abhishek of Lord Mahakal was conducted, followed by an elaborate ritualistic decoration and the application of sacred ash. The entire temple premises resonated with chants praising Lord Mahakal. Neha Marda arrived at the shrine in the early hours to witness this spiritual event. She seated herself in the Nandi Hall, remaining deeply absorbed in devotion throughout the ceremony.
Divine Call Enables Darshan, Says Neha Marda
Expressing her delight following the sacred darshan, Neha Marda shared that her experience at the temple during Sawan was truly remarkable. She observed that people frequently hesitate to visit Ujjain during this period due to concerns over large crowds and management. However, she emphasized her belief that visiting the holy shrine does not happen merely by personal intention, but rather when Lord Mahakal himself extends an invitation to the devotee. According to her, pilgrims receive the opportunity for darshan only when called upon by the deity.
Fourth Visit to Ujjain During the Holy Month
The actress revealed that she had not made any advance plans to travel to Ujjain during Sawan, yet this marked her fourth pilgrimage to the holy city within the same season. She mentioned with a smile that her repeated visits are a clear reflection of Lord Mahakal's continuous blessings upon her. She added that all her endeavors are being successfully accomplished by divine grace, hinting that something new and positive is lined up in her career, details of which will be shared soon.
