Galaxy Classes Shuts Abruptly in Lucknow; Management Missing
Aspirants preparing for competitive examinations in Lucknow faced severe distress as Galaxy Classes, located in the prominent Kapoorthala locality, unexpectedly suspended operations. The private training center catered to more than 500 candidates preparing for exams such as the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Uttar Pradesh Police recruitment, and the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET). Students arriving for their routine sessions were shocked to find padlock-secured entrances and empty premises.
According to affected candidates, the institute had charged an upfront annual tuition fee of approximately ₹15,000 per student. Investigation reveals that the financial irregularities extended to the teaching staff as well, with faculty members remaining unpaid for several consecutive months. Both the owner and the manager of Galaxy Classes have absconded and rendered their phone numbers unreachable, prompting stranded students to seek administrative and legal intervention to recover their hard-earned money.
Uttarakhand Launches Mukhyamantri Yuva Bhavishya Nirman Yojana
In a significant initiative to democratize entrance exam preparation, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami officially rolled out the 'Mukhyamantri Yuva Bhavishya Nirman Yojana' on Monday. Under the initial phase of this flagship program, the state administration will deliver free online coaching to 11,000 meritorious students preparing for various competitive recruitment tests.
The scheme is specifically tailored to assist economically underprivileged candidates, particularly those residing in remote and mountainous terrains across Uttarakhand. Enrollment is open to eligible students pursuing higher education in state government colleges, government-aided institutions, and state universities. Training will be delivered by subject-matter experts and experienced educators using dedicated digital platforms.

The inaugural phase of the program establishes precise seat quotas for 11,000 beneficiaries across key academic and professional entrance examinations. The government has structured the targets as follows
- UPSC and State Public Service Commissions: 2,000 seats designated for civil services examination preparation.
- SSC, Railways, Banking, and Equivalent Exams: 5,000 seats reserved for general competitive recruitment tests.
- Defense Services Examinations: 2,000 seats earmarked for defense force recruitment aspirants.
- NET, GATE, CSIR, and JRF: 1,000 seats allocated for higher research and academic fellowship exams.
- CAT, MAT, and Management Entrance Exams: 1,000 seats assigned for professional business administration entrance tests.
