A violent clash during the early hours of Sunday left a 28-year-old man dead in Gambhirpur village, situated within the jurisdiction of the Sadh police station in Kanpur. The deceased had entered an adjoining household at dawn, where occupants intercepted him and launched a ferocious physical assault. By the time emergency responders and relatives transported the severely wounded victim to a nearby medical facility, attending physicians confirmed that he had already passed away. The brutal episode has triggered acute apprehension across the rural locality.
Dawn Confrontation Inside Adjacent Residence
The incident unfolded around 4:00 AM on Sunday when the victim, identified as Gopal Tiwari, entered the premises of his neighbor, Kallu Awasthi. Upon realizing an outsider had stepped inside the residence, members of the household confronted him immediately. The confrontation quickly degenerated into severe violence, with the occupants repeatedly striking Gopal until he collapsed with grievous trauma. Shortly after the assault ended, Kallu Awasthi walked over to Gopal's family residence to inform them that their son was lying dead inside his property.
Pronounced Dead Upon Arrival at Community Health Centre
The grim revelation caused immediate chaos and despair among the victim's family, who rushed to the spot alongside agitated villagers and alerted the authorities. A responding police unit recovered the heavily injured youth and rushed him to the Bhitargaon Community Health Centre. However, medical staff at the health facility declared him dead on arrival. Law enforcement officers subsequently took custody of the body and dispatched it for a formal post-mortem examination, which will establish the precise internal injuries and official cause of demise.
Victim Father Accuses Neighboring Family of Premeditated Murder
Seeking swift justice, the victim's father, Vijay Prakash Tiwari, approached the Sadh police station and submitted a formal written complaint against the occupants of the neighboring house. The complaint specifically accuses Kallu Awasthi, his sons Vikas Awasthi and Mohit Awasthi, as well as female members of their family, of orchestrating a brutal collective beating that resulted in Gopal's death. The grieving father maintained that the assault was carried out with lethal intent, prompting investigators to initiate proceedings based on the complaint.
