Bounty of 50,000 Rupees Placed on the Accused

All three accused had been absconding since the incident, and a cash reward of 50,000 rupees was announced on each of them. They were finally apprehended following intense raids across multiple locations. Based on a written complaint filed by the victim's mother, Ranjana Sharma, a murder case was registered under section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at the Hazratganj police station on October 9.

Intensive Manhunt by Special Police Teams

The Lucknow police initially announced a reward of 25,000 rupees for information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects, which was later hiked to 50,000 rupees. To track them down, authorities deployed multiple specialized units, including the surveillance unit, the Special Operations Group, and local police teams.

Shraddha Dubey Hiding in Burqa and Visiting Nepal

Uttar Pradesh Additional Director General of Police for Law and Order Amitabh Yash stated that Shraddha Dubey managed to evade arrest by continuously wearing a burqa, keeping her interactions with people strictly limited, and staying at low-surveillance budget hotels.
