Law enforcement agencies across Uttar Pradesh have executed a series of intense encounters, apprehending several wanted criminals and seizing illegal weapons in the process. In Aligarh, the police successfully arrested Farman, a cow slaughter suspect carrying a bounty of 25,000 rupees. The operation was carried out jointly by the Jawan police station and the Criminal Intelligence Wing. Farman, a resident of the Shahjamal area, had been evading the law for a significant period in connection with a case filed at the Quarsi police station under the Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act.
Arrest of Farman
A warrant had been issued against Farman by the court, and a cash reward had been announced for his capture. According to officials, the accused sustained injuries during the confrontation and was transported to the district hospital for medical attention. Police recovered an illegal handgun, ammunition, and a Honda Shine motorcycle from his possession. Separate cases under the Arms Act and charges related to the encounter have been registered against him.
Rape Accused Irfan's Encounter
Meanwhile, in Bulandshahr, a police shootout occurred involving Irfan, an accused in a minor rape case. The Jahangirabad police had arrested Irfan and taken him to a forested area to recover the knife used in the crime. During this process, the accused attempted to flee after opening fire on the police team. In self-defense, the police fired back, resulting in a gunshot wound to the suspect's leg. The case pertains to an incident on June 22, where Irfan was charged with forcing himself on a minor girl at knifepoint. Police successfully recovered the illegal pistol, ammunition, and the knife used in the crime. The injured suspect is currently hospitalized and will be presented before the court following his treatment.
Encounter with Firoz in Bahraich
Bahraich police also reported a significant breakthrough. Two days ago, officers from the Ram Gaon police station engaged in a firefight with three motorcycle-borne suspects in the Baundi area, where one individual was shot in the leg while his accomplices escaped. Police received intelligence that one of the absconding suspects, carrying a 50,000 rupee bounty and over 50 criminal cases, was hiding near Ekla Pur. When confronted, Firoz fired upon the police team. In the ensuing exchange, Firoz was shot in the leg. One of his associates remains at large. The injured suspect has been admitted to the Bahraich Medical College. These individuals were primarily involved in serial theft cases.
