Two people were injured after their car went off the Bhowali-Ramgarh road in Nainital district, Uttarakhand, and plunged nearly 50 metres into a gorge. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) rushed to the spot and carried out a rescue operation to bring both passengers to safety.
How The Accident Happened
The car lost control on the Bhowali-Ramgarh stretch, one of the hilly roads in Nainital district, and rolled off the edge before falling about 50 metres into the gorge below. Local residents and authorities were alerted soon after the vehicle went over the edge.
SDRF's Rescue Operation
Once alerted, an SDRF team reached the site and climbed down into the gorge to pull out the two injured occupants. The rescuers brought both of them to safety. The identities of the injured have not been made public.
