Himachal Pradesh's health department is getting a fresh round of hiring, with the Sukhu government opening applications for 105 additional posts of Operation Theatre Assistants, Radiographers and Lab Technicians. All these positions will be filled on a job trainee basis, the Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission has announced.
Breakdown of the 105 new posts
Of the 105 additional posts advertised, 60 are for Operation Theatre Assistants, the single largest category in this round. Another 30 posts have been opened for Radiographers, while 15 posts are for Senior Laboratory Technicians, also known as MLT Grade-2. The fresh vacancies aim to address a shortage of technical staff across state-run health institutions.
Part of an ongoing recruitment drive
This is not the commission's first recruitment push this year. On February 28, 2026, the commission had issued a separate advertisement for 196 posts, which included 176 posts of Operation Theatre Assistant under post code 26008, 10 posts of Senior Laboratory Technician/MLT Grade-2 under post code 26012, and 10 posts of Radiographer under post code 26009. On March 30, 2026, the commission added 18 more posts across various categories to that same advertisement. The newly announced 105 posts will now be merged into the original February 28, 2026 advertisement along with the March 30, 2026 appendix.
Application window and deadline
To accommodate these additional posts, the commission has reopened the online application portal for all three post codes from July 11 to July 25, 2026. Candidates can submit their applications online until 11:59 pm on July 25, 2026. Those interested need to visit the Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission's official website to apply.
No need to reapply for existing applicants
The commission has clarified that candidates who have already applied under advertisement number 04/2026, dated February 28, 2026, or under the appendix issued on March 30, 2026, do not need to submit a fresh application. Only those who missed applying earlier, or who wish to apply for the newly added vacancies, need to use this reopened window.
