Why electronic appliances break down again and again
Vastu Shastra links electrical appliances directly to the fire element and the planet Rahu. When such appliances are placed in the wrong direction inside a home, negative energy is said to build up rapidly. On top of that, if Rahu's position in a person's chart is weak, it directly affects anything connected to electricity, causing appliances to malfunction repeatedly.
Never place the fridge or AC in these directions
Vastu principles say the northeast corner of the house, known as the Ishan corner, should never hold appliances like a fridge or an AC. Placing them there is believed to sharply raise the chances of frequent breakdowns. Similarly, if heavy electronic appliances are positioned incorrectly in the southwest direction, that too creates a Vastu flaw, which shows up as electrical items going bad more often.
Southeast is considered the ideal spot
Vastu experts recommend keeping as many electrical appliances as possible in the southeast direction of the house, since this direction is associated with the fire element. Appliances placed here are said to run for a long time without frequent trouble. If placing the AC or fridge in the southeast is not possible, they can be kept in any other direction of the house except the northeast, which should be avoided at all costs.

Vastu also holds that any broken electronic item left lying around the house like junk creates a serious Vastu flaw of its own. Such items are believed to weaken Rahu further, which in turn speeds up the breakdown of other electrical appliances in the house. That is why any broken electronic item should be removed from the house as quickly as possible.

A few simple remedies are also suggested to correct this Vastu flaw. Mixing a little rock salt into water and mopping the floor of the house with it is said to bring relief. Drawing a swastik symbol with vermilion on the main door of the house is also considered helpful in getting rid of the Vastu flaw. Following these remedies, according to Vastu belief, is said to reduce how often electronic appliances break down.
