US President Donald Trump has clarified the circumstances surrounding a sudden aircraft change during a recent summit in Turkey. Speaking to reporters upon returning from Ohio, he explained that the decision was taken following urgent advice from the US Secret Service and military officials regarding a potential security threat.
Compliance with Security Directives
Trump emphasized that he receives security threats regularly and relies entirely on the assessment of his protection details. When security agencies identified a potential risk during the summit, he followed their instructions without pressing for granular details. As a result, the President stepped away from his primary luxury Boeing aircraft and boarded a military C-32A instead.
Addressing Reports After Returning from Ohio
Addressing the media after returning from Ohio, Trump noted that following protocol during high-risk situations is essential. He stated that his team prioritized safety and executed the plane switch as recommended. The clarification comes after various media accounts discussed the security maneuver during his international trip.
