Targeted Support for Asset Recovery and Financial Relief
To ensure that financial aid reaches disaster-affected populations efficiently, the state has initiated a digital assessment process to evaluate structural and material losses without administrative delays. Under the newly designed rehabilitation package, eligible households will receive direct assistance to repair damaged homes and replace crucial assets destroyed by rising waters. This assistance explicitly encompasses livestock, poultry holdings, contaminated or broken tube wells, as well as looms and textile equipment essential to local weavers.
Recognizing the economic hardship faced by residents during the recovery phase, Chief Minister Sarma announced the implementation of a loan repayment moratorium.
