South Korean automaker Hyundai has officially shared fresh teaser images and video previews highlighting the exterior design of its forthcoming midsize crossover, the Bayon. This development arrives shortly after the initial release of official design sketches. In the domestic portfolio, the new vehicle is positioned strategically to bridge the gap between the compact Venue and the larger Creta. Moving away from upright, boxy SUV proportions, the Bayon features a sleek crossover silhouette aimed specifically at contemporary urban commuters. The carmaker has indicated that the commercial launch of the vehicle is scheduled to take place during the festive season.
Dimensions, Powertrain Choices, And Expected Pricing
In terms of overall proportions, the Bayon is anticipated to measure over 4 metres in total length. Under the hood, it is likely to borrow the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol powerplant seen in the Creta. Transmission duties are expected to be managed by both a conventional manual gearbox and a smooth CVT automatic setup. Furthermore, the model could arrive with a factory-fitted CNG option, which would mark a major milestone as the first time such an alternative fuel configuration is offered on a Hyundai product stretching past 4 metres.
