Mahindra has introduced the 2026 Bold Edition of its popular SUV Bolero to the market. This new offering comes as a dealer-level accessory pack, featuring a distinct bronze colour treatment along with several added features. The standard Bolero has an ex-showroom price starting from 8,57,000 rupees for the B4 variant and goes up to 9,99,000 rupees for the B8 variant. Although the exact separate pricing for the bold edition pack has not been officially announced yet, it will be available as an additional cost over the base price.
A similar bold edition was introduced last year, but this time the design theme is entirely based on a bronze colour scheme. This update has been crafted keeping rural and semi-urban customers in mind, who appreciate the ruggedness and reliability associated with the Bolero. The powertrain remains untouched, preserving its economical and durable reputation. Let us take a closer look at what is new and different in the Mahindra Bolero Bold Edition.
Exterior Styling and Design Upgrades
The exterior features striking bronze accents across various body panels. The front bumper, grille, and fog lamp surrounds receive a sophisticated bronze finish. This treatment extends to the alloy wheels, ORVM caps, door cladding, and roof rails. These thoughtful additions make the iconic boxy look of the Bolero much more appealing and give it a somewhat premium stance.
Cabin Comfort and Interior Features
Stepping inside, the cabin is equipped with black leatherette seats that may feature complementary bronze accents, alongside edition-specific floor mats. The most notable addition to the utility list is the rear-view camera, which makes tight parking maneuvers significantly easier. Other conveniences depend on the chosen variant, including power steering, power windows, manual AC, and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system on select trims. On the safety front, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, seat belt reminders, and an engine immobiliser come as standard equipment.
Engine and Performance
Under the hood, the vehicle retains its proven 1.5-litre 3-cylinder mHawk diesel engine that produces 76 hp of power and 210 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a rear-wheel-drive system. The ARAI-claimed mileage stands at around 16 to 16.5 km/l, while real-world driving typically yields about 14 to 15 km/l. Accompanied by a 60-litre fuel tank, the SUV ensures a healthy driving range for long journeys.
Final Verdict
Overall, the Bold Edition gives the Bolero a fresh visual appeal and upgraded convenience features without requiring any major mechanical overhauls. It serves as an appealing choice for buyers who want a rugged, dependable, and traditional SUV experience.
