Automakers are catering to a broad spectrum of car buyers, ranging from premium luxury enthusiasts to mass-market family car owners. The upcoming lineup brings a sharp focus on cutting-edge powertrain technology, refreshed exterior styling, rapid charging capabilities, and extended real-world driving range. With rising demand across both electric and hybrid vehicle segments, these launches are set to intensify competitive dynamics on showroom floors.
Mercedes-Benz GLC Electric
Mercedes-Benz is scheduled to expand its presence in the luxury electric SUV space on November 4. The model will be assembled locally at the company's Chakan manufacturing facility situated in Pune, reinforcing domestic production for high-end battery-powered vehicles. Looking at the mechanical details, the 400 4Matic variant features a 94 kWh battery pack integrated with a dual-motor configuration. This setup delivers between 489 and 490 bhp of power alongside a robust 800 Nm of torque.
Acceleration from zero to 100 km/h takes just 4.3 seconds, matching high-performance luxury expectations. On the efficiency side, the vehicle boasts a claimed WLTP driving range of up to 715 km on a single charge. Its high-voltage architecture supports 330 kW fast charging, enabling drivers to add roughly 300 km of driving range in only 10 minutes.
