Renault has expanded the Duster lineup in India with the launch of a new Adventure Edition, priced from Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The special edition is aimed at buyers who want their SUV to carry a bold, rugged look besides everyday practicality. Notably, the mechanical setup remains untouched, with the company instead focusing on design tweaks and add-on accessories to make the SUV look more striking than the standard version.
Bolder Styling On The Outside
The biggest change in the Duster Adventure Edition shows up on the exterior. The SUV gets adventure-themed body graphics that give it a distinct road presence, along with a matte black decal on the bonnet. Skid plates have been added at both the front and rear to reinforce its off-road-ready appearance. Renault has also thrown in new body cladding, roof-mounted accessories, dark exterior elements, a fresh set of alloy wheels and dedicated Adventure Edition badging. Together, these additions give the SUV a noticeably tougher and more muscular stance compared to the regular Duster.
A Fresh Look Inside The Cabin Too
The changes are not restricted to the outside. Inside the cabin, the Adventure Edition gets adventure-themed seat upholstery, special floor mats and branded seat covers, along with exclusive interior detailing to match the exterior theme. That said, the dashboard layout and the rest of the feature set have been carried over unchanged from the standard Duster, meaning there is no structural or mechanical rework inside the cabin.
No Change Under The Hood
On the powertrain front, Renault has retained the same engine options that are already offered on the standard Duster. Buyers can choose the 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with either a manual or a CVT automatic transmission. A 1.5-litre diesel engine is also available, offered with a manual gearbox as well as an AMT automatic option. In effect, performance and driving characteristics of the Adventure Edition will remain identical to those of the regular Duster.
Feature List Stays Strong
The Duster Adventure Edition also holds its own on features. It comes with a touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with automatic climate control and steering-mounted controls. Safety and convenience features include a rear parking camera, rear parking sensors, dual airbags, and ABS with EBD. Renault has noted that the exact feature list may vary slightly depending on the variant chosen.
Who Should Consider This SUV
For buyers who want an SUV that stands out on the road with a bold, adventure-ready look, the Duster Adventure Edition makes for a compelling choice. Rather than making mechanical changes, Renault has concentrated on design and styling upgrades to give the SUV a more rugged, eye-catching character. Overall, this edition is built for customers who want the same driving experience as the standard Duster, wrapped in a distinctly sportier and more adventurous appearance.
