Toyota has officially confirmed the launch date for the facelifted version of its popular premium MPV, the Innova Hycross, in India on November 25, 2026. This marks the first major update for the vehicle since its initial rollout in 2022. The updated model is already available in international markets like Indonesia under the name Kijang Innova Zenix, which has provided a clear preview of what to expect in the upcoming Indian version. Test mules and spy shots spotted on roads have already revealed a redesigned front grille, sleeker headlamps, updated bumpers, and revised tail lamps.
Refreshed Exterior Styling
The exterior of the facelifted model receives a series of aesthetic revisions aimed at giving it a more modern road presence. Up front, the vehicle sports a brand-new grille flanked by sharper, sleeker LED headlamps. Both the front and rear bumpers have been updated, complemented by a fresh set of alloy wheels. The tail lamps at the rear have also been revised. These updates closely mirror the Indonesian-spec model, ensuring that the Innova Hycross maintains a contemporary and aggressive stance.
Upgraded Cabin and Infotainment Tech
Inside the cabin, the most notable enhancement is the upgrade to a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, replacing the current 10.1-inch unit. This is accompanied by a 12.3-inch full digital driver display. The interior refresh extends to revised seat upholstery, updated color schemes, and enhanced connected car software. Select variants may also feature additional comfort amenities to elevate the overall passenger experience.
Engine Options and Flex-Fuel Capability
Under the hood, the powertrain lineup remains largely familiar. The vehicle will continue to offer the 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing approximately 173 PS mated to a CVT, alongside the 2.0-litre strong hybrid system generating about 184 PS combined with an e-CVT. Reports indicate that the hybrid variant could incorporate flex-fuel capability, enabling it to run on higher ethanol blends such as E30 or more. If implemented, this would position it as Toyota's first flex-fuel passenger vehicle in India.
Expected Pricing and Market Rivals
At present, the Innova Hycross is retailed within an ex-showroom price bracket of 18.70 lakh to 32.95 lakh rupees. The incoming facelift model is anticipated to carry an estimated price tag ranging between 20 lakh and 35 lakh rupees. In the premium MPV sector, it will lock horns with competitors like the Maruti Suzuki Invicto. Overall, the upcoming refresh is poised to reinforce the market standing of the vehicle through enhanced styling, modern features, and potential alternative fuel capabilities.
