Demand for 150cc to 200cc motorcycles in India's two-wheeler market keeps climbing, and the June 2026 sales numbers make that clear. TVS Apache held on to its position as the segment's best-selling motorcycle, while Bajaj Pulsar and Honda Unicorn also posted strong year-on-year gains in customer demand.
A big jump for the whole segment
The 150cc-200cc segment sold a combined 1,77,866 units in June 2026, up sharply from 1,34,491 units in the same month a year earlier. That works out to a 32.25 percent year-on-year jump, a sign that demand for mid-capacity sporty and commuter motorcycles is picking up pace across the country. Here is a model-wise breakdown of how each bike performed last month.
TVS Apache stays on top
TVS Apache emerged as the segment's top seller once again, moving 55,382 units in June 2026 compared with 41,386 units a year earlier. That is a 33.82 percent year-on-year rise, the highest unit sales figure among all the motorcycles on this list.
Bajaj Pulsar in second place
Bajaj Pulsar came in second with 40,730 units sold last month, up from 33,610 units in the same period a year ago. That marks a 21.18 percent year-on-year increase in sales.
Honda Unicorn takes third spot
Honda Unicorn ranked third with 37,617 units sold last month, against 26,363 units a year earlier. That is a 42.69 percent year-on-year jump, the fastest growth rate among the top three bikes.
Yamaha MT-15 and FZ move in opposite directions
Yamaha MT-15 took fourth place, picking up 10,094 new customers last month compared with 7,123 units a year earlier, a 41.71 percent year-on-year increase. Yamaha FZ, meanwhile, still made it into the segment's top five despite a dip in sales. It found 9,824 new buyers last month against 10,767 units a year earlier, a decline of 8.76 percent year-on-year.

Beyond the top five bikes listed above, the rest of the segment's sales last month broke down as follows

- Yamaha XSR: 4,199 units
- KTM 160/200: 3,320 units
- Hero Xpulse 200: 2,957 units
- Honda SP 160: 2,271 units
- Hero Xtreme 160: 900 units
- Suzuki Gixxer: 726 units
- Honda Hornet 2.0: 408 units
- Honda CB 200X: 177 units
These numbers show that it isn't just the top three motorcycles pulling in buyers, the rest of the 150cc-200cc lineup is drawing customers too, keeping competition in this segment as intense as ever.
