When questioned about remarks made regarding the central government allegedly failing to disburse financial compensation or aid to flood victims, Singh noted that he lacked sufficient information on the matter and would address it upon his return. Regarding queries about an extension on his court surrender timeline, he clarified that he had legally been granted time until December 4 to surrender, adding that incorrect information had been circulated in the media.

Speculation had previously intensified regarding Singh potentially joining the RJD following his expulsion from the JD(U). Addressing these rumors, Tejashwi Yadav had earlier clarified that there was no proposal from the RJD to take Singh back into the party fold. Prior to these developments, the Supreme Court had granted significant relief to strongman Anant Singh by extending his surrender deadline to December 4. The apex court had initially directed him to surrender by December 1, 2026, before modifying the deadline.
