The Economic Offences Unit of Bihar Police has initiated major enforcement action against Ajay Kumar Singh, the Deputy Director of the Bihar Board of Open Schooling and Examination (BBOSE). Simultaneous raids were launched across three locations in Patna and Begusarai following allegations of accumulating wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income. Initial verification conducted by investigating authorities revealed evidence of assets valued at Rs 3,43,78,300, which stands approximately 90.04 percent higher than his legitimate income earnings.
Court Authorization and Registration of Disproportionate Wealth Case
The anti-corruption drive was set in motion after the law enforcement agency verified confidential information gathered from credible sources regarding the official's wealth. Upon confirming the initial findings, a formal case was registered against the BBOSE official. Investigators subsequently approached the designated Special Court in Patna to secure search warrants. Following judicial approval, specialized teams headed by officers of Deputy Superintendent of Police rank were dispatched to execute search operations at the designated sites.
