Police in Kapasan within Chittorgarh district have achieved a major breakthrough by apprehending a suspected housebreaker who targeted vacant homes. Following the arrest and subsequent questioning, authorities revealed the resolution of seven daylight burglary incidents. The suspect admitted during interrogation to entering locked residential properties across multiple areas and stealing valuables. Police investigators are currently interrogating the suspect to recover stolen jewelry and locate other missing assets.
Singhpur Village Burglary Led to the Probe
The investigation gained momentum following a burglary reported in Singhpur village on September 28. In that case, an intruder took advantage of a family being away from home, leaving the residence completely unattended. The burglar breached the premises, forced open cupboards, and stole silver ornaments along with other valuables. According to the complaint, the stolen items included an ornament weighing approximately half a kilogram of silver, known as a kandora, along with silver anklets, toe rings, rings, and various other ornaments. Following the report filed at the Kapasan police station, law enforcement launched a systematic search operation.
