Audiences across the country continue to flock to theatres as Ajay Devgn's suspense thriller ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’ maintains its exceptional run at the domestic box office. Entering its second week with immense momentum, the film witnessed a fresh upward trajectory on its eighth day in cinemas. Running across 14,561 shows nationwide, the thriller accumulated an impressive Rs 14.50 crore by 11 pm on Friday. This performance marked an 11 percent climb in daily collections compared to Thursday, propelling the film's total domestic net revenue to Rs 260 crore.
Surpassing Franchise Predecessor And Chasing Tanhaji Record
With this latest milestone, ‘Drishyam 3’ has comfortably eclipsed the lifetime collection of its predecessor, ‘Drishyam 2’, which had concluded its domestic theatrical run at Rs 239.67 crore. The movie is now steadily pacing towards surpassing the biggest blockbuster of Ajay Devgn’s career, ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’. Released in the year 2020, the period action drama had gathered a lifetime net collection of Rs 279.59 crore in India. Given the present audience footfall, ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’ appears poised to challenge and overtake that historical figure in the coming days.
From Advance Booking Heights To Record-Setting Opening Weekend
The foundation of this box office triumph was laid well before the film hit the big screen. Advance ticket sales commenced on September 27, generating a massive Rs 27 crore prior to release day. When the film officially debuted on its first Friday, it took the box office by storm with a net opening of Rs 66.75 crore. This debut emerged as the third-highest opening day collection in the history of Hindi cinema, while simultaneously marking the biggest single-day opening of Ajay Devgn's career.
Audience enthusiasm showed no signs of abating over the initial weekend. On Saturday, the film pulled in Rs 53.50 crore, followed by another massive surge on Sunday that generated Rs 61 crore. The sheer volume of tickets sold established an extraordinary initial cushion that carried the project forward.
Steady Weekday Pace And Crossing The Rs 200 Crore Milestone In Five Days
A natural dip occurred on Monday as routine workdays began, but the momentum remained extraordinarily stable. The suspense thriller crossed the Rs 200 crore domestic threshold within just five days of hitting theatres. By the conclusion of its first full week, cumulative net earnings had reached past Rs 245.50 crore. This sustained commercial run has firmly placed Ajay Devgn’s thriller among the highest-grossing films of the year 2026.
Ensemble Cast And Gripping Storytelling Elevate The Thriller
The theatrical appeal is driven heavily by its ensemble performances and intricate plot. Ajay Devgn reprises his central role as Vijay Salgaonkar, alongside Shriya Saran as Nandini and Ishita Dutta as Anju. Tabu returns to heighten the tension as the determined former IG Meera Deshmukh. The narrative expands the stakes around the Salgaonkar household by introducing formidable new figures played by Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj. Further depth is added by seasoned performers including Rajat Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, and Kamlesh Sawant.
Produced jointly by Star Studios18 and Panorama Studios, the project is helmed by director Abhishek Pathak. The screenplay was developed collaboratively by Pathak alongside Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh, providing a tightly structured continuation that continues to draw strong footfall.
