He revealed that while he deeply desired to respond to everyone's good wishes, his current health condition and physical ailments were preventing him from doing so. Taking to his blog in the early hours of Sunday, the actor detailed his inability to reply.
Diwali Greetings and an Influx of Gifts
Marking the festivals of Diwali and Chaturdashi, Amitabh Bachchan sent across prayers for love, respect, and prosperity to everyone, while invoking divine blessings to surround his admirers always. In his blog post, he mentioned that well-wishers from all corners have been continuously sending him greetings and tokens of affection. The sheer volume of these gifts has grown so large that he is now running out of space to store them properly in his house. He noted that failing to handle these gifts with care would amount to disrespecting them, which is why he deeply appreciates the love being sent and continues trying his best to respond through written letters.
Apologizing to Fans Due to Physical Pain
Explaining the delay in responding to the messages, Amitabh Bachchan opened up about his current struggles and physical discomfort. He wrote that he wanted to personally write back and answer everyone with his own hands, but the hand he uses for writing has been experiencing some pain and trouble, causing delays. Apologizing to his fans, he reflected on how circumstances in recent days have made seeking forgiveness a frequent occurrence, noting that it is always better to just ask for pardon without hesitation.
The actor elaborated philosophically that asking for forgiveness does not make a person wrong; the other person will either understand and let it go or reject it with disdain. When forgiveness is understood, it brings peace and happiness to the mind, whereas refusal leaves lingering bitterness. The very same threatening email also explicitly mentioned a grenade attack threat targeting Amitabh Bachchan's Bandra residence 'जलसा' on October 31, prompting authorities to significantly step up security around his property.
