Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh kicked off his nationwide Aura India Tour 2026 in Delhi on October 30. Following the high-energy launch performance, the artist connected with his audience through an Instagram live session, sharing several candid reflections. During the broadcast, he disclosed that he had been very eager to stage a live show in Bihar as well, but the project had to be shelved because essential logistical and crowd safety agreements could not be reached.
Crowd Control Dispute Stalled Bihar Plans
Dosanjh explained to his followers that this was not the first time he had sought to perform in Bihar, having made a similar push the previous year without success. Speaking in Punjabi, he detailed how his team explored holding an event there, only to be told by local quarters that regulating the anticipated turnout would prove exceptionally difficult. During these discussions, the singer was directly asked whether he would personally take full responsibility for managing the large gathering.
The performer firmly pushed back against that expectation. Dosanjh made it clear that crowd management cannot be placed upon an individual musician. In his view, maintaining public order, ensuring venue security, and directing large gatherings remain the unambiguous duties of administrative authorities and event organizers. Because those necessary security guarantees were not established, the proposed show in Bihar could not move forward.
Managing Huge Audiences Demands Robust Logistics
Explaining the sheer scale of his live appearances, Dosanjh noted that tens of thousands of fans routinely attend his concerts, making crowd control a serious undertaking rather than a routine detail. Staging such gatherings demands rigorous pre-planning, dedicated infrastructure, and extensive administrative coordination. He pointed out that organizing a show of this magnitude is just as demanding as pulling off an event in a massive metropolis like Delhi, emphasizing that no artist can realistically shoulder the liability of managing thousands of people alone.
Delhi Show Faced Last-Minute Hurdles Too
The conversation during the live stream also touched on the extensive friction preceding the recent Delhi performance. Securing clearance in the national capital was an uphill battle, as the Delhi Police had initially raised reservations concerning security requirements and ongoing law-and-order duties surrounding the busy festive period. These concerns left the concert hanging in balance right up to the final hours before the show.
Dosanjh acknowledged that making the Delhi concert happen was far from easy, remarking that several elements had tried to block the show before it finally went ahead. While declining to elaborate on the exact specifics of those disputes, he remarked that while staging international shows carries its own distinct hurdles, organizing concerts in India frequently brings a significantly higher degree of operational and logistical friction.
Tour Schedule and Response to Criticism
With the opening performance in Delhi concluded, Dosanjh is set to take his Aura India Tour 2026 across several other major destinations. The upcoming itinerary includes scheduled concerts in Chandigarh, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Indore.
Addressing online detractors and negative commentary during the stream, the singer maintained a determined stance. Dosanjh remarked that while people are free to mock him or circulate negative remarks, he intends to keep moving forward with his work. Emphasizing his long-standing career, he stated that he has been dedicated to his craft for the past 25 years and will not stop unless he personally decides to do so.
