IndianOil has expanded its domestic cooking gas portfolio with the rollout of a brand new 10 kg composite LPG cylinder designed to offer greater convenience, lighter handling, and faster doorstep delivery to modern households.
Launch Details and Cylinder Design
The new product, named Indane XTRALITE NOW, was officially launched by IndianOil Chairman A. S. Sahney during an event held in Chennai on July 25th. Alongside this new 10 kg cylinder, the state-run energy major also introduced a four-hour express home delivery service for its popular 5 kg Chhotu cylinder. Built from lightweight, rust-free composite materials, the XTRALITE NOW cylinder features a translucent body that enables users to visually check and monitor the remaining gas level inside without any guesswork.
Booking Channels and Digital Access
Customers can book the new cylinder through two primary digital channels, namely the IndianOil ONE mobile app and the IndianOil Customer website. While a dedicated WhatsApp booking number, 7588888824, is scheduled to be integrated shortly, it is not yet active. To use the mobile app, users must download it from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and sign in with their registered mobile number. Existing Indane LPG consumers can access their accounts within the application to place refill orders or opt to switch their traditional steel cylinder connection over to the new composite variant without canceling their active connection. Meanwhile, first-time customers can apply for a new connection directly through the platform with minimal documentation requirements.
Delivery Slots and Target Audience
The booking interface allows users to select a preferred delivery time slot, ensuring that the cylinder reaches their doorstep within four hours of placing the order. A comparable procedure is accessible via the IndianOil Customer website, where consumers log in using their consumer ID and mobile number to navigate the LPG booking menu and select the XTRALITE NOW option. Both the new composite cylinder and the express-delivery Chhotu service are being distributed through the established Indane distributor network and designated retail outlets. Through this launch, IndianOil aims to cater to urban families, working professionals, residential communities, and small households seeking lightweight equipment and rapid service fulfillment.
