Kota, renowned as a major educational hub attracting students from across the country, is taking a decisive step toward transforming learners from job seekers into job creators. The Modi Institute of Management and Technology has officially signed a memorandum of understanding with the Rajasthan government's startup initiative, iStart. This strategic collaboration is designed to foster innovation and business acumen among students, helping them transition smoothly from academic learning to practical entrepreneurship.
Modi Educational Group's Group Director Raghav Modi explained that given the massive influx of students from the Hadoti region and beyond, focusing on their 360-degree development is essential. He emphasized that alongside traditional academic knowledge, vital skills such as confidence, creativity, and problem-solving are indispensable for modern careers. Bridging the gap between theoretical instruction and real-world application forms the core objective of this educational initiative.
Paving the Way for New Business Ideas
Under the terms of this partnership, students gain the unique opportunity to pitch their innovative business concepts directly on the iStart platform. Promising ideas will receive invaluable guidance and expert mentorship from industry veterans. Furthermore, eligible projects stand a strong chance to secure seed funding and financial assistance, turning abstract concepts into viable commercial enterprises.
This arrangement connects local students directly with Rajasthan's broader startup ecosystem, enabling them to network with industry leaders and scale their ventures. The joint mission of MIMT and iStart is to provide the critical network and infrastructure needed to convert raw ideas into practical business models. Comparing a business concept to a seed that requires proper nourishment, the leadership noted that just as a seedling needs water and sunlight to grow into a tree, student ventures require the right platform and mentorship to flourish.
