Sandeep Kumar Dubey shared that the intervention of the scheme significantly improved his household conditions. Having been engaged in animal husbandry for a considerable period, he applied and successfully cleared the selection process. The selection of beneficiaries under the Nand Baba Milk Scheme is conducted through a completely transparent lottery system. With cooperation from all quarters and a fair selection mechanism, his entrepreneurial journey has progressed smoothly, demonstrating the tangible benefits of institutional support for rural youth.
Transitioning from Graduation to Dairy Farming
Elaborating on his career trajectory, Dubey explained that after completing his graduation, he found conventional career paths unappealing and decided to focus entirely on cow rearing. The Nand Baba Milk Mission facilitates the selection and acquisition of cattle, prompting him to bring two cows from Haryana. Through careful expansion, he now possesses ten animals of his own, and the continuous output is readily marketed. This enterprise yields a steady monthly income of approximately forty thousand rupees, contributing greatly to his financial independence.
Supply Chain and Institutional Support
The daily yield from his dairy farm finds a reliable market through direct supply to Parag Dairy. Furthermore, Dubey serves as a secretary at Parag Dairy, which streamlines the collection and sale of his milk locally. Describing the initiative as highly beneficial, he strongly encourages fellow farmers and rural residents to participate actively and take full advantage of the program. He noted that the financial incentives provided by the administration make it an ideal time to enter the sector.
