Long-distance overnight passenger travel in India has taken another major step forward with the rollout of the nation's third Vande Bharat sleeper express. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw officially flagged off the inaugural run of the cutting-edge train set from Bengaluru on Sunday. Regular scheduled services for commercial passengers kick off on Monday, November 2, linking the state capitals of Karnataka and Maharashtra.
