Duleep Trophy Success and Upcoming Fixtures
At present, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is actively participating in the Duleep Trophy, where he serves as the vice-captain of the East Zone squad, a team led by captain Ishan Kishan. Backed by strong team performances, East Zone has successfully advanced to the final of the Duleep Trophy. The summit clash is scheduled to commence on September 6 in Chennai. Immediately following this tournament, a three-match T20 International series between India and Afghanistan is set to begin on September 13, for which Vaibhav has also been named in the squad. Given that the Duleep Trophy final runs until September 10 and the opening T20 match against Afghanistan takes place in Delhi on September 13, it remains to be seen whether Vaibhav will be able to feature in the final match.
