The law and order situation in Jamshedpur continues to face severe challenges as criminal elements run rampant across the region, striking local traders and businesses at will. In the latest violent episode, unidentified assailants targeted a prominent local businessperson in broad daylight, leaving him battling for his life after pumping multiple bullets into his body.
The Attack at an NH-33 Hotel
The incident unfolded inside a commercial hotel located near Kadrbeda Chowk along National Highway 33 in Jamshedpur. The victim, identified as businessperson Nikhar Sablok, was sitting inside the establishment when the attackers suddenly cornered him. Without warning, the miscreants opened indiscriminate fire, creating an immediate wave of panic and chaos among patrons and staff present at the venue.
Critical Condition at TMH Hospital
Sablok suffered severe injuries after being hit by four bullets during the targeted assault. Following the shooting, frantic bystanders and authorities rushed the grievously wounded trader to the Tata Main Hospital for urgent medical intervention. He remains admitted under strict medical observation, where doctors are fighting to stabilize his critical condition.
Police Investigation and CCTV Scrutiny
Local law enforcement authorities, including a team from the Chandil police station, swiftly arrived at the crime scene upon receiving distress calls to secure the area and launch a formal inquiry. Investigators are currently scanning security footage from closed-circuit television cameras installed in and around the hotel to trace the escape route and identify the culprits. While the exact motive behind the targeted shooting remains undetermined, police officials stated that all potential angles are being thoroughly probed.
