Kotwali police in Dhaulpur have solved a violent highway robbery targeting a commercial salesman near Sanda village by taking two absconding suspects into custody. The culprits had ambushed the victim on the road, blinded him using chilli powder, intimidated him with an illegal firearm, and fled with cash along with important identity and commercial paperwork. Alongside arresting both accused individuals, the police recovered the stolen bag containing all the taken belongings.
Threat of Firearm Used to Intimidate Victim
The crime occurred when the travelling salesman was navigating the route near Sanda village. Waiting along the stretch, the assailants intercepted the salesman and immediately brandished a country-made firearm to terrorise him. To disable him instantly and eliminate any chance of physical resistance, the attackers flung chilli powder straight into his eyes. The sudden burning sensation left the victim completely blinded and disoriented on the road.
Physical Assault with Weapon Butt Before Fleeing
While the salesman struggled with severe pain and obscured vision, the assailants escalated the assault by striking his helmet with the heavy butt of the firearm. Taking total advantage of his helpless condition, the culprits snatched his bag containing 20,000 rupees in cash along with valuable records, speeding away from the spot before help could arrive. The sudden robbery left the victim without his working documents and official IDs.
