A severe communal tension gripped Thandaradih village, located under the Karmatanr police station limits in the Jamtara district of Jharkhand, following provocative remarks shared on social media platforms. The sequence of events began when derogatory comments targeting Hindu deities surfaced online, which were subsequently followed by objectionable statements directed against the Muslim faith. The emergence of these inflammatory posts incensed local residents, leading a large number of people from the Muslim community to converge on the village and encircle the entire neighbourhood. Recognizing the gravity of the escalating situation, local police and administrative officials rushed to the scene to restore order and manage the crisis. At present, a massive contingent of police personnel remains stationed across the village while law enforcement agencies conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
Crowd of Two Thousand Intensifies the Crisis
According to reports, approximately 2,000 people, angered by the online remarks, marched to Thandaradih. The sudden accumulation of such a massive crowd created a highly tense atmosphere within the village.
