Hyperliquid traded above $84.30 on Tuesday, advancing steadily toward the record high of $86.75 that was established on Sunday. The ongoing upward trajectory of the token is being largely driven by reports of advanced expansion talks alongside persistent institutional demand within the digital asset sector.
US Market Expansion Talks and Regulatory Framework
Reports indicate that Hyperliquid Labs is currently engaged in advanced discussions with Kraken parent Payward to introduce its perpetual futures products to the US market. This potential development follows remarks from US President Donald Trump, who stated that his administration is actively working to bring the rapidly growing platform into the country.
Should the arrangement secure regulatory approval, US-based traders would gain access through Payward's Bitnomial exchange to trade specific perpetual futures linked to tokens built on the Hyperliquid blockchain architecture. Bitnomial, operating as a regulated digital asset exchange and clearinghouse, would provide registered users with access to a targeted subset of these crypto-linked futures. This structural setup addresses the primary regulatory hurdle that previously kept the platform outside the US jurisdiction.
Institutional Inflows and Technical Indicators
Institutional interest in the asset remained exceptionally strong over the preceding week. Data from SoSoValue revealed that spot exchange-traded funds recorded a net weekly inflow of $56.86 million, marking the highest weekly total observed since late June. Market analysts note that if these robust inflows persist and intensify, the token could successfully challenge its all-time high of $86.75.
From a technical perspective, the token trades comfortably above major Exponential Moving Averages, reinforcing a constructive near-term outlook. The 50-day EMA stands at $67.78, while the 100-day EMA and 200-day EMA rest at $62.46 and $54.95 respectively, forming a supportive foundation below current price levels. The Relative Strength Index hovers near 68, approaching overbought territory, while the Moving Average Convergence Divergence indicator remains in positive ground despite exhibiting a slightly moderating upside momentum.
Broader Cryptocurrency Market Dynamics
Meanwhile, the wider cryptocurrency ecosystem displayed varied movements across major assets. Bitcoin remained resilient above the $78,000 threshold as market participants anticipated a potential push toward $80,000, though escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, climbing oil prices, and persistent inflation concerns threatened to cap risk appetite. Ethereum continued to exhibit a stable technical setup by holding comfortably above $2,400.
Additionally, Pi Network traded near $0.0900, sustaining its consolidation above the $0.0836 support level as the Pi Testnet saw approximately 30 new tokens introduced under prominent corporate names. XRP also ticked upward to defend its 200-day exponential moving average support, backed by nine consecutive days of net inflows into US-listed XRP exchange-traded funds.
