A significant administrative reshuffle has been carried out within the Delhi Police department, resulting in the transfer of five Indian Police Service officers. The Lieutenant Governor approved these appointments with immediate effect based on the recommendations of the Police Establishment Board. Under this recent overhaul, multiple officers have been assigned new postings alongside additional responsibilities across various branches.
Key Postings for Chinmoy Biswal and Ish Singhal
According to the official order, Chinmoy Biswal, an IPS officer of the 2008 batch, has been appointed as the Joint Commissioner of Police for Operations. He has also been assigned the additional charge of Joint CP for IFSO. Meanwhile, Ish Singhal, a 2010 batch IPS officer, has been posted as the Additional Commissioner of Police in the Economic Offences Wing.
Additional Charges Assigned to Other Officers
The reshuffle list also includes postings for several other officers across different departments. Dinesh Kumar Gupta, an IPS officer from the 2010 batch, has been appointed as the Additional Commissioner of Police for DPHCL. Vikas Kumar, belonging to the 2013 batch, has been posted as the Additional Commissioner of Police for DPHCL while also being handed the additional charge of Traffic. Additionally, Esha Singh, a 2021 batch IPS officer, has been deployed as the DCP for Welfare along with being given the additional charge of DCP for the Legal Cell.
