Mayur Vihar Phase-3 has seen violent incidents before

This is not the first time Mayur Vihar Phase-3 has made headlines over violence. Separately, on 3 February, a delivery boy was stabbed to death in the same locality.

Similar attacks recently reported in Nangloi and Trilokpuri

Such violent incidents have kept surfacing across Delhi in recent times. A 15-year-old student on his way to school in Nangloi was recently attacked with a knife by 5-6 boys and died from his injuries. It emerged that the student had tried to stop the boys from harassing a girl, after which he was attacked. Before that, in Trilokpuri, a minor student was beaten to death over an old rivalry, and six minors were arrested in that case.
