Ankita Sangle, a resident of Jalalpur village in Karjat taluka, took the extreme step on Sunday. She had secured 166 marks in the NEET re-exam, which reportedly led to severe distress. The incident has left the local community in deep shock.

Following the information, Karjat police registered a case of suicide and initiated a probe into the matter. Police officials stated that all aspects of the case are being carefully examined.
