In a significant move to strengthen the educational infrastructure in Alwar district, Rajasthan’s Education and Panchayati Raj Department Minister Madan Dilawar has officially inaugurated seven newly constructed government school buildings. Built with a total investment of Rs 24.09 crore, these facilities are located across various areas, including the Raini tehsil. This developmental drive aims to equip state run schools with modern amenities, thereby elevating the academic standard for local students.
Allocation of Funds Across Multiple Institutions
The state government has systematically distributed the developmental budget to address specific institutional needs. A substantial Rs 4.49 crore was spent on erecting a modern facility for the Government Senior Secondary School in Ishwana. Supporting female education, a new Type-3 building for the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Awasiya Vidyalaya in Pinan was completed at a cost of Rs 2.10 crore. Additionally, specialized residential girls schools were developed at an individual cost of Rs 2.50 crore each across Laxmangarh (Jamalpur), Kathumar (Manakpur Gothri), Ramgarh (Sahajpur and Banjirka), Malakheda (Mahuakhurd), Ramgarh (Nangla), Umrain (Chandauli), and Mundawar (Mator). Furthermore, during his visit to Chimrawali Sikh village, the minister unveiled a statue of Goddess Saraswati at the local school and approved a separate grant of Rs 15 lakh to fund pending repairs and aesthetic upgrades.
Impact of Academic Calendar Shifts
Addressing the public gathering at the ceremony, Education Minister Madan Dilawar noted a key milestone in the state's education system. He shared that for the first time in Rajasthan's history, the new academic session was rescheduled to begin on April 1. This adjustment has allowed schools to successfully cover 20 percent of their syllabus by the start of July. He reaffirmed that alongside infrastructure development, the government remains committed to supporting students through free school uniforms, books, cycles, scooties, laptops, and timely scholarships.
Addressing Teacher Shortages and Infrastructure Maintenance
To further support state schools, the minister confirmed that the recruitment process for 1 lakh teachers is currently underway to resolve ongoing staff shortages. In addition, Alwar district has received a dedicated fund of Rs 20 crore specifically for restoring and maintaining dilapidated school buildings. He encouraged parents to play an active role in their children's education by frequently visiting school campuses to observe administrative functions and academic progress.
Quality Control Measures and Mid-Day Meal Inspections
During the district tour, Minister Dilawar executed surprise inspections at Burja and the Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls School in Pinan. Demonstrating solidarity with the pupils, he sat on the floor alongside them to taste the mid-day meal. Regarding the dining standards, he directed the catering supplier, QRG Foundation, to prioritize highly nutritious ingredients. He issued strict instructions mandating that all meals must be stored and transported in hot cases to ensure they are served warm to students. He also held interactive sessions with the children, testing their general academic knowledge and collecting direct feedback regarding sports and cleanliness.
