Actress Uorfi Javed is currently navigating one of the most difficult phases of her professional career. The prominent personality recently opened up about how a string of major projects slipped through her fingers over the past year. This unfortunate streak includes a direct rejection from the makers of Salman Khan's reality show 'Bigg Boss 20'. Dealing with continuous setbacks, Uorfi posted a video to speak candidly about her lack of work and the constant stream of rejections she has faced lately.
Uorfi was eager to return to the reality TV space and actively reached out to the team behind 'Bigg Boss 20' to explore an opportunity. Sharing her experience, she mentioned that she really wanted to be part of the show and hoped to secure a spot. However, after connecting with the producers and holding meetings with them, she was given a clear refusal. Reflecting on her journey, she noted that while social media often highlights everyone else buying new cars and celebrating major milestones, she wanted to shed light on the personal failures she endured over the previous twelve months.
The hurdles did not stop there, as Uorfi revealed she had also received an offer for the reality series 'लॉक अप'. Unfortunately, a scheduling conflict with a prior commitment prevented her from joining at the time. She explained that she had already signed another project whose dates overlapped by just a single day, forcing the makers to turn her down. To her surprise, after the reality show eventually commenced, those same people informed her that their own schedule had actually been postponed, leaving her completely shocked by the turn of events.
Further compounding her professional setbacks, Uorfi was rejected from 'खतरों के खिलाड़ी 15' and was replaced by someone else for a mentor position on the show 'प्लेग्राउंड'. The digital streaming space also brought disappointments, as Prime Video cancelled the second season of her show 'फॉलो कर लो यार'. Meanwhile, Netflix halted production on an entirely different project after a single episode had already been filmed.
Detailing the Netflix situation, Uorfi shared that they were actively working on the series and even completed shooting the first episode before the makers abruptly pulled the plug, claiming the material turned out poorly. Halting an entire project after shooting just one episode came as a major blow. She also noted a sharp decline in her commercial partnerships, pointing out that her monthly brand endorsements have plummeted from five or six down to just two. Concluding her candid admission, Uorfi remarked that the entire past year felt like an endless cycle of rejections.
