Together, these updates signal the expansion and climax of the crime thriller concept that has captivated audiences nationwide.
Drishyam 3 Sets October 2, 2026 Theatrical Release
On August 24, 2026, Ajay Devgn unveiled the first look poster of the third film, titled Drishyam The Conclusion. The project is slated to arrive in theatres on Gandhi Jayanti, October 2, 2026. The date holds significant symbolic weight for followers of the franchise, as the events of October 2 formed the central pillar of the original narrative's iconic alibi strategy.
The unveiled teaser poster highlights an intense closeup of Ajay Devgn's gaze accompanied by the line, "Mera sahi, sirf meri family hai" (My right is only my family). Sharing the imagery on social media, Devgn wrote on X, "Har insaan ka nazariya alag hota hai… mere liye meri family hi sab kuch hai." Director Abhishek Pathak, who helmed the successful second installment, returns to direct this concluding chapter.
Ensemble Cast and Returning Characters
The upcoming feature will continue the journey of Vijay Salgaonkar as he faces new challenges to keep his loved ones safe. Alongside Ajay Devgn, the cast includes seasoned performers Rajat Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Prakash Raj in crucial roles. Tabu and Shriya Saran also feature prominently in the continuation. Following the massive box office performance of the previous two entries, the filmmakers aim to deliver a high-stakes dramatic resolution to the Hindi adaptation.
Mohanlal Starrer Drishyam 4 Confirmed in Malayalam
Alongside the Hindi announcement, producer Antony Perumbavoor confirmed during the Mazhavil Manorama Awards event that the original Malayalam series will extend into a fourth film. He explicitly stated that Mohanlal will return to reprise his signature role as Georgekutty, the resourceful family man who stops at nothing to protect his household.
Created by filmmaker Jeethu Joseph, the original Malayalam masterpiece gave birth to a multi-language franchise that dominated box office charts across regions. With both Ajay Devgn's Hindi iteration and Mohanlal's Malayalam flagship preparing their next moves, audiences are set for another wave of intricate mystery and tension.
