Managing Health Care Business After Patriarch's Demise
According to local details, the head of the family, Chetanbhai, passed away approximately one year ago following a sudden heart attack. After his demise, the three surviving family members took over the complete responsibilities of running their healthcare setup. Around one and a half to two years ago, the family had established an Ayurvedic facility named 'Japs Health Care' located on Old Padra Road in Vadodara. Following Chetanbhai's death, Aartiben, along with her son Neelkanth and daughter Jhalak, actively managed the daily operations and administration of the hospital.
Business Partner Denies Any Financial Dispute or Discord
Following the discovery of the bodies, the hospital's business partner, Ketan Shah, shared details regarding his association with the deceased family. Ketan Shah stated that he had shared a close personal and family relationship with the Soni family for the past 12 to 13 years. He explained that while his involvement in the hospital was primarily as a financial investor, the operational duties, day-to-day management, and financial accounting were entirely handled by Aartiben, Neelkanth, and Jhalak.
Ketan Shah clarified that there were no financial disputes, personal disagreements, or professional friction between him and the family. He further mentioned that just three to four days prior to the incident, they had held constructive discussions regarding expanding the hospital's medical team by hiring ten new visiting doctors. Given these normal interactions and prospective plans, the sudden tragedy has left everyone acquainted with the family in shock.
Discovery Made After Domestic Helper Raised Alarm
The tragedy came to light when the family's domestic helper, Ushaben, arrived at the residence for her routine work. After knocking repeatedly and getting no response from inside the locked house, Ushaben grew concerned about potential danger. She immediately contacted Ketan Shah and informed him about the situation.
Upon receiving the call, Ketan Shah rushed to the location and used a duplicate key in his possession to unlock the front door. On entering the premises, he discovered all three family members hanging from ropes in separate areas of the house. He immediately alerted the authorities. News of the deaths spread rapidly through the neighborhood, creating widespread shock and sadness.

Vadodara Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Andrew Macwan arrived at the scene along with an investigation team. DCP Andrew Macwan stated that law enforcement officers recovered all three bodies and dispatched them to the government hospital for post-mortem examinations.
