The Special Task Force (STF) of Haryana Police achieved another significant breakthrough against organized crime by bringing back Gaurav Gadoli, a key operative of the Kaushal-Bambiha crime syndicate, following his successful extradition from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Senior law enforcement officials confirmed on Tuesday that Gadoli was taken into custody immediately after his arrival in India. This operation represents the 13th successful extradition executed by the Haryana STF in 2026, underscoring an intensified crackdown on fugitives managing criminal networks from foreign soil.
Extradition Process and Inter-Agency Coordination
Gaurav Gadoli, who is the brother-in-law of incarcerated syndicate leader Kaushal Chaudhary, had been evading law enforcement while directing criminal operations from overseas since 2023. The extradition was finalized on Monday following sustained joint coordination between the Haryana STF, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) New Delhi, and the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). Through synchronized efforts with international security agencies, authorities located and detained Gadoli in Dubai before executing his formal deportation to India.
Extortion Networks and Untraceable Call Operations
Investigation reveals that Gadoli functioned as a primary operational manager for overseas-based gangster Pawan Shokeen over the past three years. He facilitated untraceable internet-routed 'dabba calls' used to extract protection money from business owners and targets across Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Punjab, and Rajasthan. Beyond extortion, Gadoli effectively handled human resources and financial management for the syndicate by recruiting new youths and overseeing money flows. Investigators also suspect his sister Manisha, who is married to Kaushal Chaudhary, of actively assisting in these recruitment and financial operations.
Fake Identity Flight and Criminal Track Record
Gadoli carries a heavy criminal profile with six registered cases detailing offenses such as extortion, attempt to murder, violations of the Arms Act, and organized crime charges. Judiciary authorities declared him a proclaimed offender on October 14, 2022, after which law enforcement issued a Lookout Circular against him. To escape police tracking, Gadoli fled India from Lucknow airport on November 30, 2023, using a fraudulently obtained passport issued under the fictitious alias Sahil Yadav.
Broadening Operations Against International Syndicates
Addressing the development, B Satish Balan, Inspector General of Haryana STF, emphasized that bringing back high-profile operatives marks an important milestone in dismantling cross-border gang infrastructures, affirming that similar enforcement measures will continue. This arrest follows a related operation on April 10, 2026, when the STF extradited Sahil Chauhan, another associate of the Kaushal-Bambiha gang facing 16 severe criminal cases, from Thailand.
