A disturbing incident has come to light from Nagla Part 2 in Faridabad, Haryana, where a woman assaulted her two minor children following a dispute over minor scratches on her mobile phone screen. The entire sequence of physical abuse was captured by security cameras installed inside the residence. In the footage, the woman is seen striking her six year old daughter with eight slaps in just twelve seconds, before turning on her four year old son and delivering four slaps within seven seconds. Hearing the loud cries and screams of the frightened children, a young man from the neighbourhood rushed inside and intervened to stop the assault.
Mobile Thrown to Floor Before Brutal Assault on Children
According to details shared regarding the incident, the episode took place on September 27 at around 7:00 PM. The six year old girl was handling the mobile phone when her mother, identified as Sonia, examined the device. Upon noticing visible scratches across the phone display, she lost her temper instantly. She first threw the handset forcefully onto the floor and then launched a violent physical attack against the young girl. Security footage captured the woman repeatedly slapping the daughter, followed immediately by an assault on her four year old son. Distressed wailing from inside alerted a neighbour, who hurried into the premises and urged the mother to cease hitting the children.
Father Serving in Army Alleges Repeated Pattern of Abuse
The children father, Satbeer, serves as a Naik in the Indian Army and is currently stationed on duty in Rajasthan. Satbeer joined the armed forces in 2016 after finishing his twelfth standard education. In 2019, he married Sonia, a resident of Sagarpur, and the couple has a six year old daughter and a four year old son. Satbeer stated that due to his military postings, he spends most of his time away from home, while his wife lived in Faridabad with their two children and his parents. He alleged that his wife had frequently beaten the children in the past over minor household grievances.
Home Cameras Installed Three Months Earlier Due to Suspicion
Prompted by recurring concerns over the children mistreatment, Satbeer had arranged for security cameras to be installed both inside and outside the house around three months ago. Two distinct clips have since emerged, documenting scenes from outside the front entrance as well as the interior room where the assault occurred. On the evening of September 27, Satbeer parents were away visiting their native residence in Nuh, leaving only Sonia and the two minor children at the house. Satbeer further alleged that when he previously tried discussing his wife violent behaviour with her maternal relatives, they threatened to frame him in fabricated cases, and that threats to harm the children lives have also been issued.
Grandfather Lodges Formal Complaint at Local Police Post
Following the emergence of the video evidence, the children grandfather, Bishan Singh, submitted a formal written complaint at the Parvatiya Colony police post. The in charge of the post, Mahesh, indicated that he was currently away on assignment and would review the details of the complaint upon his return to initiate a formal inquiry. Meanwhile, the father stationed in Rajasthan has urged law enforcement authorities to conduct a thorough investigation and initiate appropriate legal measures against his wife for the assault.
