A sweeping reshuffle has hit Haryana's government machinery. The state has issued transfer and fresh posting orders for 15 IAS and HCS officers, and every one of these changes takes effect immediately. Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi issued the notification confirming the moves. Topping the list is senior IAS officer Pankaj Yadav, currently Principal Secretary of the Cooperation and Public Health Engineering Department. He has now also been given additional charge as Chairperson of the Haryana Water Resources Authority, meaning he will hold both roles simultaneously.
New commissioners for Faridabad, Gurugram and Karnal
Major changes have also come at the division level. IAS officer Sanjay June has been appointed Commissioner of Faridabad division, and he will continue to serve as Chairman of the Mewat Development Agency, Nuh, alongside this new role. Ravi Prakash Gupta has been made the new Commissioner of Gurugram division, while Rajeev Ratan takes charge of Karnal division. Faridabad's municipal corporation has also seen a change, with Dhirendra Khadgata appointed Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Faridabad, a post that comes with the additional role of CEO of Faridabad Smart City Limited. Separately, Shakti Singh has been given additional charge as Director of the State Audit Department.
Rohtak and Kaithal get new district administrations
At the district level, Sachin Gupta has been named the new Deputy Commissioner of Rohtak. He will also hold additional charge as Administrator of the Haryana Urban Development Authority, Rohtak, and Director of Urban Estate, Rohtak. Kaithal district's charge now rests with Aparajita, who has been appointed Deputy Commissioner there. In Rohtak itself, Satyendra Dahiya has been made Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation, District Municipal Commissioner, and Director of the Haryana Skill Development and Industrial Training Department, taking on three responsibilities at once.
Karnal, the IT department and HCS postings
In Karnal, Saloni Sharma has been given additional charge as District Municipal Commissioner. Samvartak Singh Khangwal has been appointed Additional Secretary as well as Director of the Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communication. HCS officers were also on the move, with Abhinav Sivach named Sub-Divisional Officer, or SDO (Civil), of Bahadurgarh, while Tarun Kumar Pawaria has been appointed Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Citizen Resource Information Officer of Mahendragarh.
Yamunanagar, Panchkula and a new status for commissioner posts
In Yamunanagar, Sushil Kumar-4 has been made CEO of both the Zila Parishad and the DRDA. Gaurav Chauhan has also been given additional charge as Land Acquisition Officer of Panchkula. Alongside this reshuffle, the government has taken another significant decision, granting the posts of Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Faridabad and Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Rohtak the same status and responsibilities as senior scale IAS officer posts under the IAS (Pay) Rules, 2016. This new rule has also come into force with immediate effect.
